About colton shaver

Colton Shaver loves a challenge. He loves doing difficult things. And he works hard to get better every day, whether it’s during a game, at practice, or off the field helping kids improve their skills.

Colton has played catcher for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros) and the Buffalo Bisons (Triple-A affiliate for the Toronto Blue Jays). Drafted in 2017 by the Astros, he’s strived tirelessly to become a high-caliber athlete.

He’s always finding new ways to improve his skills, support his teammates, and be the kind of player any coach would love and any fan could admire.

His size, strength, and positive energy set him apart from the average baseball player. Known best for hitting home runs, Colton can always be counted on to score a run. “I do whatever it takes to get the job done,” Colton says.

He’s a big guy, standing tall at 6’1” and weighing a muscular 245 pounds. His size gives him an advantage in his position and is one of the reasons he’s not afraid of anything.

Colton cares most about God and family. He loves people, citing his desire to help others as his motivation for excelling in his baseball career. Colton’s got both a soft heart and the grit of a gutsy competitor. He’s driven but team-oriented, aggressive yet respectful, and both ambitious and humble.

Colton models his style after players who care about the fans and take time to talk to them and give them his attention. Fans young and old feel comfortable around Colton, and he strives to be the kind of person young athletes can look up to.

His dream is to improve his skills and carry his successes into the Major Leagues.
